We went to the pumpkin patch this week. Zoey loves that place. She just ran around and round like she was on a sugar rush. We carved 6 pumpkins this year....it IS my husband's favorite time of the year!

Florida trip

We left last Thursday night at midnight for Port Saint Joe, FL. It seemed like it took 24 hours to get there instead of 8! We loved the house...it worked perfectly for us...3 bed, 3 bath, 3 floors. It was across hwy. 98 from the beach but we had a beautiful view from the 3rd floor balcony. The beach was so beautiful and clean and no crowds! Nice!! We took a day trip in to Panama City Beach and went to the water park. I don't have many good pics of it because they weren't that great...taken with a disposable waterproof camera. The wind was so strong at the beach that our hair is all over our heads in the pictures! It was a really nice trip but we are glad to be home!! Where to go next.......??? I'm saving my air miles!

Zoey started ballet/jazz and tumbling a couple of weeks ago. She looks so cute in her little ballet outfit! Jeremy had his 38th birthday. We got him a new gas grill and went out to eat at LaFuente (of course!). It was a nice, quiet evening...just like he likes it.

Zoey had a great 3rd birthday. We had 29 people here! She got some awesome gifts and ate lots of pizza, cake and ice cream. The kids stayed outside most of the time playing on the swingset, slip n' slide, sprinkler and trampoline (with lots of adults all around!). We gave her a cute desk for her room, my parents and sis gave her a basketball goal, the Davis' gave her an art easel and she got lots of other toys and beautiful clothes and pj's. Thanks everyone for coming!

We had a great time at the Marriot Hotel and Spa. I could have stayed in the hot tub and sauna for days! The kids loved the indoor pool and the 360 Restaurant was so nice! What a view! Zoey really enjoyed the playground at the nearby park. This was a much needed 3 day vacation!

We got about 5" of snow last night and early this morning. This is the biggest snow I've seen in a LONG time! It warmed up quiet a bit around lunch and we went out 3 times to play!

Zoey and I went to Spring Hill today to Melisa and Hannah's house. The girls played great together! Actually they were a lot alike! Almost the exact same size other than Zoey's foot is bigger! ha! We had such a great time that we hated to leave!

Zoey got her first haircut today. It was starting to look like a mullet! Angie just trimmed the back and blended the rest. It looks so cute. I got mine cut first while she sat quietly and watched then she just walked right up and sat in the chair for her turn.

The first picture is Zoey with Santa at Jeremy's work party yesterday. She looked scared but was determined to sit on his lap (we'd talked about this moment for 2 weeks!). She said a few words to him and even told him she loved him and smiled for the camera and then he gave her a lion. The next picture is one the 3 of us had taken a couple of weeks ago at a benefit. Tyler had to work and Brody just begged not to have to be in it!

We've had a busy couple of weeks. Brody and Meredith had home-

coming week at school. They had fun getting ready for the parade and Meredith's car won first place in the 11th grade. Zoey has been having playdates with Paloma, my niece's fiance's niece. Brody is skateboarding most every day and Tyler has school 4 days a week and works the other 3. He has recorded his first song at school. He is singing and playing the guitar in it and the computer is doing the rest. He and Brody wrote the words. Here is the link and some pics:

Jeremy and I celebrated our 10th anniversary on the 22nd of August. Here is a pic we took of ourselves that evening.

I finally got pigtails in Zoey's hair for the first time today. She just loved them and everyone noticed how (even more) adorable she was every where we went today!

We had a GREAT time at the reunion today. It was so good to see everyone! Here are some pics of today.

Zoey is being a total chatterbox. She makes complete sentences regularly and can say any word you tell her to. She can do her abc puzzle in a couple of minutes and say the word underneath each letter as she goes. Jeremy says she will be able to put us in a GOOD nursing home one day! ha! Brody started back to school last week. He has a full load of classes this year. Tyler will start the end of September. They are going to an Underoath concert tomorrow night in Nashville with a bunch of friends. Tyler's band played in Columbia last night.

Reunion

We had an awesome time in Sevierville at the reunion. All of the kids had grown so much! It was nice that our cabin was right across the street from the others. Tyler, Brody and Meredith really enjoyed seeing all of the other children. Every time I'd tell them I was going over to visit they would go with me. The aquarium was awesome. We'd been before but Meredith and Zoey hadn't...I knew it would be the perfect thing for them! Tyler and Mer went on the skylift in Gatlinburg and really enjoyed it. We all enjoyed the cabin...especially the hot tub. We did not like the ride up to the cabin..twisting roads and we got lost every time we left or came back!! ha! The photo we took on the red couch at the cabin was as wild as the one last year in China! We played golf at Hillbilly Golf...where you take a tram to the top of the mountain and play down it. It was a great trip and we can't wait until next year!

I finally got Brody to sit down long enough to get a pic of him and Zoey together. This one has his girlfriend Erica in it too. They have been going together for 1 year!

Zoey kept acting silly when I'd try to get her to say her numbers in front of the camera but I finally got her to...kinda. I noticed she was counting the steps yesterday when we came in to the house..that was 5 so then I put up 10 fingers and she counted them all!

My next post will be when we get back from Sevierville/Gatlinburg. We are leaving Sunday to go to our reunion with our China travel mates. It is 12 families with a total of about 61 or so people! We are all staying in cabins...some together in 2 big cabins and others got single cabins. We got a single one across the road from the 2 big ones. My parents, Tyler, Brody and Meredith are going with me and Zoey. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone! I'll get lots of pics of all of the little ones together again!

Pool and 4th of July

Zoey, myself, Tyler, Meredith and friends Samantha and Natia all went to the pool the other day. She had a ball! On the 3rd we went to a fireworks display at Sharewood Park. Zoey loved the fireworks but not the noise. We had a lot of friends and family with us that night. Brody had to go to the ER early on the 4th so that day was pretty quiet for us. They had us worried at first but after a 3rd doctor's opinion we found out he had a chronic sinus infection. He is doing much better now.

Jeremy had a great 37th birthday! Zoey kept telling him "Happy Birthday Daddy"! She has always had a great vocabulary but she is really shining lately..putting 3-4 words together and even saying things like unbutton and hippopotamus! She can do her ABC puzzle in a couple of minutes and she says the letter and/or the picture as she does it. She is something else!!

Tyler graduated on Friday night! I was so excited but couldn't help but cry when he walked across that stage! He then left for a road trip to California with 5 of his friends...all in a mini-van! They were in Wyoming around noon today and Meredith just told me they were in Utah around 6 p.m. tonight. They are having fun seeing another part of our beautiful country. They are heading to Sacramento where one of the boys mother lives. They hope to surf when they get there! Please keep them in your prayers. Just 16 more years and I'll have all of my kids out of school! ha!!!

Rocketown, party and shower

It has been a busy last couple of weeks. One of Tyler's bands, DiA, played at Rocketown last Saturday night. It was awesome. They played in front of 400-500 people and did great...until the end...JMo, the drummer decided the fall off the stage. It was the end of the last song and he was drumming really hard and next thing we knew he disappeared off the back of the stage for a few seconds! He fell about 5 feet! It was scary then but we have watched the video over and over and laughed soooo hard!! I wish I had a short video of them playing but we took one long video of the whole thing. They did their version of the 80's song "Safety Dance".

Last week while Jeremy was in NC I had a mother/daughter get together. We had 14 people here and had a great time. We played a DVD/board game that was just hilarious!

Yesterday Zoey and I went to a baby shower for Jeff and Becky Smith and their little boy, Noah, from China. He was just a bundle of joy!! Zoey, Noah and another little girl played the whole time.

The week before last we had lunch with friends Harolene and daughter from Guatamala. Another day we had lunch and play date with friends Jennifer and son from China and Allison and daughter from China. It is so amazing to see these kids all together!

February is a big month for our family. Meredith and Tyler both have birthdays

and we have Valentine's Day. I fell down the garage steps last week so my rear is black and blue..that's why I haven't been on the computer much!! I hope to check back soon!! Happy February!

We haven't seen this much snow in years! It was so beautiful! Brody took Zoey out to play on the back deck then the boys had friends Brett and James over and they slid down the hill on skateboard decks and garbage bags and made a 5 ft. snowman! Zoey just kept saying COLD!!

We had a wonderful New Years. In almost 8 months Zoey has changed more than I ever could have imagined! She said "Happy Ewww Ear" for Happy New Years! She will try to say most anything you tell her to. She can point at pictures in books when you ask her to point at a certain object. A couple of months ago I showed her how to keep the covers on her when she got cold at night (and acted it out) and now she does it! When she wakes up she just plays by herself in her crib. The other day I was looking for my keys and she found them for me. She has to sleep with her blankie/bunny and has since day one but for Christmas Erica (Brody's girlfriend) gave her a prayer bunny and now she has to have it in her crib too! She calls the bunny "Amy" but she means AMEN since it says Amen after the prayer. School started back last Thursday and I miss the boys being home. We had several guest for New Years Eve and enjoyed them being here! I SO wish I'd taken pictures! Tyler got some recording equipment for Christmas so he can record his band's music right in to the laptop. He and Neighbor recorded 3 songs the other night and they sound awesome! You can go to his band's myspace from there too..Hwy. 31.. Placing the Blame is the newest one...it is "scream-o" music but has a nice story IF you can understand the words! ha! Tyler does 1/2 the vocals on Placing the Blame and guitar on the rest.
Brody just finished a skateboard video he did with Tyler and 2 friends. They are both doing well in the tech world! Now if they could just teach me!

Christmas 2007

We had a wonderful Christmas except for this nagging ulcer of mine. I've been drinking Mylanta and popping pills forever now but nothing seems to help! Urgh!! Everything went really well. Zoey loved her kitchen set, baby doll, tunnel and gifts from family. She use to not like to play with toys that much but now that is all she does! We also had 2 birthdays in the family. Brody turned 15 (and started looking for a job today) and Grandma Inman turned 80! They had a suprise party for her and 2 chocolate/strawberry cakes! Brody had a giant cookie for his cake! It was so nice to get to see everyone. I forgot my camera and the Hindman family get together on Christmas eve so I'll try to add some pics in of them later. Happy New Year everyone!!

Today Brody and Erica were fixing chocolate covered pretzels and Zoey started eating them before they were dry. She made a big mess! I just had to snap a picture of her!!

My parents took care of Zoey last week so Jeremy and I could go to our Sunday School class party. Zoey went to sleep in my dad's lap and he wouldn't move because he didn't want to wake her. I thought it was so sweet!

Yesterday Zoey was standing in the dining room and she yelled out "DEER"! We have seen a few already but it was so cool that Zoey was the one to notice it. This one was just right behind our deck. Later we saw 2 just a little ways from this one plus 7 turkeys. We saw about 12-15 turkeys on Thanksgiving day. It's strange to live just inside the city limits (the woods behind us start the county) and see wild animals right in our back yard. Now Zoey thinks she should be able to look out any window and see a deer!

Zoey got to see Santa at Jeremy's Frito-Lay Christmas party on Saturday. She just looked terrified at first then she started to cry...not an all out scary cry just a get me outta here cry!! This was the best (out of 3) pictures they took. This poor Santa was tall, skinny, had a long nose and really didn't know how to talk to the kids. Maybe she would like a chubby, sweet Santa? I kinda doubt it! The second picture is our Christmas card from many years ago. Aren't the boys just so cute! Wasn't I just so thin? ha!! The third one is the boys on their first Christmas together. Don't forget that Brody's birthday is on Christmas day! He'll be 15!

Well, Christmas is almost here! It's exciting being Santa Clause again! We put up our old tree which was about 5 1/2 feet tall then at Brody's birthday party on Saturday night Zoey just touched an ornament and the tree started to fall on her!! Meredith was beside of her and caught it just in time! Thank you Mer-mer!! The plastic base had broke so Jeremy went to Home Depot and bought us an 8 footer with a wider base. It looks much better with the high ceilings anyways.

Zoey loves the tree and loves looking at lights in the neighborhood. We just put up a deer, 2 lit trees and some lit candy canes. It is time to start shopping!

We went to the Frito-Lay Christmas party on Saturday. Zoey didn't care for Santa very much! I'll post a picture soon.

Hello everyone! I'm going to TRY to figure this whole blog thing out so be patient with me because I have NO idea what I'm doing!! I'm not going to tell you about me and my family because if you are reading this you already no us and our story of adoption.

We moved 5 weeks ago in to our beautiful new house and I'm just SO excited! The boys seem to be enjoying it as every day we have anywhere from 2-12 kids over! It is also nice living in town. We are only a mile from Wal-Mart, Home Depot and our favorite restaurant LaFuente! Thanks to my husband for working so hard so we can live and Zoey can grow up in such a nice home. We also have both lots on either side of the house so she will have plenty of room to romp around when she is older!

It's hard to believe that we have already celebrated a belated birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, daddy's birthday, mommy's birthday, Halloween and Thanksgiving with our sweet little girl! We have been talking about our China travel on our forum today and it has bought back lots of nice memories of China. I had a few bad ones like the pain I was in by the time we got back to Huntville but their was much more good ones than bad ones!! Later on I'll post some of my favorite pics from our trip. It will be hard to choose!
